My name is Bunny Whitherspoon.

Well, here we are at Thought of the Month number 2, and we haven’t even gotten to know each other yet…please allow me to introduce myself…my name is Bunny Whitherspoon, and I’m the infamous pen of these thoughts. I know I ruffled some feathers with my first thought, so I’ve been thinking a lot about what to turn my attention to next. Enough people have asked me the question, “Just what is juicy?” that I think I should spend some time this month pontificating on that subject, since it’s something I know quite well.

I really can’t get into the details of what is juicy until I steal (and I only steal from the best) a little something from one of my fave cable channels, Fine Living Network. The tag line of Fine Living is, “Live Like You Mean It.” That just about sums it up, don’t you agree? That sentiment is at the heart of juicy. Why else would you want to be alive if not for the pure excitement and enjoyment of living? We’re living longer…my own great-grandmother lived to 104…and just as our lives are getting longer, the world is getting smaller.

Juicy…what a great word! It conjures up so many images, and not just sexual, although those images are probably the best!!! Juicy…it absolutely feels good as it rolls off your tongue…here – say it with me…juicy. It gets your lips ready to kiss! Anyway, back to the point! Juicy is what’s hot and sexy, the latest trends in fashion, literature, motorcycles, food, travel, sports, anything you can wrap your brain around (without a bruise or sprain, mind you) can be a topic for a juicy discussion! It’s the synonym of anything and everything you’d ever want in a word. If you desire it, want to be it, copy it, own it, wear it, eat it, hold it, live it, or live like it, then it’s juicy! Yum…sounds like Bunny Witherspoon is, well, juicy!
